Beyond the Broomstick: Crafting the Modern Witch

Just in time for Samhain (Halloween) comes this workshop aimed at looking at the role of the witch in literature and how it is evolving in modern culture. Participants will examine new interpretations of the witch from A Discovery of Witches to The Once and Future Witches (spoiler alert!), as well as new short fiction that is rewriting the rules of female power through the lens of magic. Participants will come away with new material generated and a whole new view of witches that goes way beyond the broomstick!
