Webinar Description:

Join us to hear from and about the wonderful work Stem-Cap does this webinar! STEM-Cap's mission is to provide pathways that broaden understanding and exchange between Youth in Custody and STEM communities.

The Utah State Board of Education defines Youth-in-Custody as: “Individuals under the age of 21 who are in custody of or receiving services from the Utah Department of Human Services or an equivalent Native American tribe, or who are being held in juvenile detention facilities.” STEMCAP works in facilities that span the whole spectrum of Youth-in-Custody, working in facilities that range from juvenile detention centers to residential treatment centers.

Laura George, Program Manager, and Fiona Kuzmak, Program Coordinator, will present an overview of STEM-Cap's programs and work as well as a more in-depth look at their Mission STEM-Cap program and Milkweed and Monarch conservation project.

We encourage all educators to attend, from K-12 teachers to informal educators and any other interested parties. This webinar will be interactive and engaging for all!
