The Rocketown Youth Skateboarding League is a dynamic program aimed at nurturing young skateboarding talent within a supportive community. By offering structured programs, regular clinics, and exciting competitions, the league provides a clear pathway for youth to progress from amature to competitive levels.
Mission: The Skatepark at Rocketown exists so that youth will be able to explore their interests and passions in skateboarding while building deep relationships with positive, caring mentors who will listen and walk beside them.
Clinic and Placement Day: The league will begin with a clinic where skaters will be placed in one of two divisions: Beginner and Intermediate. After the skaters are assigned a division, coaches will put together the teams based on age and skill. Each team will have up to 5 skaters.
Practice: Each team will practice once a week after school. The weekly practice day will be set by each coach.
Location: The league takes place either in Rocketown's indoor skatepark or our outdoor park, weather permitting.
Transportation to and from the Skatepark at Rocketown is solely the responsibility of the parents/guardians. Skaters should be dropped off and picked up inside the Skatepark.
Water is available throughout the day. Bring a waterbottle.
Belongings: Each individual is responsible for his or her own belongings. Lockers are available.
