Illuminate Colorado is a 501©3 nonprofit organization working to strengthen families, organizations and communities to prevent child maltreatment in Colorado. With a research-based approach that emphasizes building Protective Factors in families, Illuminate works to address systemic and multi-sector issues affecting the well-being of children, collaborating with partners at local, state and national levels to develop powerful programs, policies and initiatives that keep kids safe.

Our certified prevention experts offer multiple educational programs and ongoing support to local organizations and facilitators to increase Colorado’s capacity to create safe spaces where children can thrive. Our organization is the state intermediary & an authorized facilitator of the Darkness to Light Stewards of Children® Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Program.

Help Promote the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse

Illuminate Colorado created the Tipping Point initiative to empower adults to protect children in every community in Colorado from experiencing child sexual abuse. We are able to promote this initiative, provide mini-grants to local nonprofits and raise awareness to prevent child sexual abuse with the support of a combination of public and private fundraising dollars.

Illuminate Colorado is eligible for the Child Care Contribution Tax Credit.

In addition to making Colorado a better place for children and families, your contribution to Illuminate Colorado may be eligible for the Child Care Contribution Tax Credit. This means that taxpayers who make a monetary contribution to Illuminate may claim an income tax credit of 50% of the total contribution!
