Creating Peacemakers - Art with Impact (formerly En Plein Air)

ABOUT THE EVENT: 

Our Spring Creating Peacemakers - Art with Impact event will be led by Artist Ibiyinka Olufemi Alao, Nigerian Ambassador of Art. 

Before our hands-on (paint and sip style) workshop, "Ibi" (ee-bee) as he is affectionately known, will lead the group through a grounding presentation that highlights the uses of Art for Healing and Justice. Ibi will also share the ways in which his unique techniques and approach to art have made a global impact on youth and environmental education. His highly awarded Fireflies Illumination Artwork will be on display in the Cone House through Saturday Evening.

Presentation & Workshop

• • Educational Presentation - Learn Ibi's passion behind "Creating Peacemakers through Art" and techniques for creating with water color paints

  • Hands-on Art Workshop - Implement learned techniques and create your own inspired piece to take home. All materials & supplies included. Guests may bring snacks and beverages to share.

Reception & Gallery Viewing

5:00 - 6:30 PM | Tix $25

• • Reception - Join us for a light meal and mingling with Ibi & the artists of the day. Reception catered by Murray Grove

  • Gallery Viewing - Experience Ibiyinka's Award-Winning Illumination Art

IMPORTANT DETAILS: 

This workshop will take place outdoors at Murray Grove in Lanoka Harbor, NJ. Participants will need to be able to traverse uneven pavement, grass fields, and gravel driveways.  Please dress appropriately for walking, painting and weather.

In case of inclement weather, the workshop will be offered in a space shielded from the weather. No refunds based on weather will be given.

Participants are welcome to bring food and beverage to share during the Hands-on art Workshop. Responsible drinking is required.
