What is Spontaneous Construction (SponCon)? SponCon is a building competition!
Teams made up of 1 - 5 folks have 7 hours to build the most masterful, functional, creative piece they can dream up of, using only materials found at the Home ReSource.
Teams are provided materials, building space, access to power (if registered under Pro), and use of the welding and cutting stations. All participants receive a commemorative SponCon t-shirt, breakfast treats & coffee, and a drink ticket. Lunch is available for purchase by local food trucks/vendors.
A mandatory team information meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 13th from 6 - 8pm. One representative for each team is required to attend.
Please note that your team must read and promise to abide by the rules and regulations of Spontaneous Construction to participate. Our priority is to ensure a safe, healthy, FUN event for all! The rules will be sent out to teams as soon as they are finalized, and each team member will be required to read and agree to the rules before participating. , Saftery rules, procedures, schedule, judging, liability, and media waivers can be found here.
