City of Lynchburg Dog License

Residents in the city of Lynchburg, VA are required by City Ordinance to obtain a license for their dog(s). Surrounding county dog licenses must be purchased through that county’s website or office. A valid rabies vaccination certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian must be presented before a dog license can be issued. Tags are required on dogs starting at 4 months of age.
