Twende, meaning "let's go" in Swahili, aims to promote economic stimulation and empower underserved populations through clean and reliable energy systems—Let's go solar, together!

Hello Friends,

Can you imagine how different your life would be if you didn’t have electricity? Though the name Perú means “land of abundance”, more than 10% of the rural population is still left in the dark without access to modern electricity.

This January I will join a volunteer team with Twende Solar to help change that. We will travel to Perú and install an off-grid solar PV system for a rural community in the Peruvian Andes outside of Tarapoto. This system will provide the community with the basic functions of lighting and refrigeration. Having light after the sun goes down means that not only is there greater capacity to earn, work, create, and learn, but there is also increased opportunity for social and leisure activities, leading to an overall increased quality of life.

I have set a personal goal to raise $2,000. Please help me empower the Mushuk Lamas community by making a generous donation today!

In addition to my personal goal Milholland Solar, Electric and Roofing will give a portion of all proceeds from Solar Projects completed now through the end of the Year towards this cause.

Let's go solar, in Peru!

Brian Milholland
