Join us for the Winter Tree ID Hike II
Winter Tree ID Hike II
Amy Weingartner Branigin Peninsula Preserve
Thursday, Feb 29th, 2-4 pm
Back by popular demand for those who missed the previous event, we are excited to offer a second opportunity to participate in this guided hike with Indiana forester duo Amy and Edward Oehlman. Amy is a Forester for the National Wild Turkey Federation for South-Central Indiana and Ed is the Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Educator at Purdue Extension for Monroe County. During this hike Amy and Ed will provide tips to identify trees in winter, discuss forest health and ecology, and explain the dynamic roles of trees in the environment.
This hike is free for Sycamore members and their guest(s). If you're already a Sycamore Land Trust member, thank you! If you are not a member, you may make the suggested donation of $5 or $10 per family (or group of 2 or more) via cash or check at the start of the hike. Or become a member and your hike is free!
