Membership Fees and Volunteer Involvement

An $85 Membership Fee is required for a full year membership in either musical group if paid at one time, OR $55 Membership Fee for either group per semester. The fee must be paid by the third rehearsal attended.

The FCO offers a limited number of scholarships for those in need. (See FCO website or Operations Manager for application).

SEMESTER 1: September - December

SEMESTER 2: January - April (includes possible June concert, also)

FULL ORCHESTRA: Strings, Woodwinds, Brass & Percussion. Intermediate to Advanced Level, ages 14 through adult. Rehearsals most Thursdays from 6:45-8:45 pm. Must be able to play level 3 (high school) or higher music.

SIMPLY STRINGS: Violin-Viola-Cello-Bass. Intermediate level (playing 1+ year and/or have completed Suzuki Level 1 or equivalent.) Ages 14 through adult. Rehearsals most Thursdays from 5:30-7:30 pm.

Any member participating in both groups will have a reduced fee for Simply Strings, as they are missing an hour of SS each week.

To pay by check, cash, Venmo, Square, or credit card in person, enter $0 below for the AMOUNT and bring your payment to the first rehearsal you attend. You may also pay with Venmo or Square through our website donation page. Note: all musicians are required to pay in full by September 28, 2023.

I, or a member of my immediate family, will be able to assist FCO in the following areas:

Registration - Help with in-person registration before first two rehearsals.

Rehearsal - Volunteer at weekly rehearsals (set up, tear down, music and flyer distribtution.)

Performance - Volunteer at FCO Concerts (set-up, usher, clean-up, food.)

Administrative - Volunteer on the FCO Board or a committee.

Fundraising - Assist with fundraising efforts.

Special Ensembles (as needed) - I would like to play in small ensemble opportunities throughout the year.

Member Agreement Policy

I agree to follow proper decorum as set by the Music Director. I understand that I may not be able to participate in all of the FCO’s repertoire because of instrumentation, score or other limitations, all of which are at the discretion of the Music Director.

I agree to participate in the FCO’s performance activities to the fullest extent possible and to notify the Operations Manager (preferred) or Music Director in advance if I am unable to participate in any activity.

I understand that rehearsal attendance is important, and agree to abide by the FCO attendance policy.

I understand that the FCO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with limited resources and, as a member, I will assist in promoting its mission and its fundraising activities.

I authorize FCO to promote its mission with press releases, website postings, concert programs, brochures, photos, videos, or other media coverage which may contain my name or image without compensation. I understand that my email address could be shared with orchestra members, the Board of Directors, and/or staff for internal communication about FCO operations and events. FCO does not share your personal/contact information with external parties unless requested otherwise.

I am participating in FCO activities at my own risk and I agree to release and hold harmless FCO, its Board, staff, officers, agents, and volunteer workers from any and all liability for loss, injury, or damage that has been or may hereafter be sustained by me as a result of, or directly or indirectly related to my participation in any FCO activities or functions.

If I am a minor, I understand that I am required to participate in my school's music program if one exists for my instrument. If no such program exists, I will take private lessons from a qualified instructor on my FCO instrument. I agree to provide approval from my music instructor to participate in the FCO.
