Shoes for School in-Kind Donations

The Knoxville Area Urban League greatly depends on your generous in-kind donations to guarantee the success of the 2024 Shoes for School event. We require an array of items such as shoes for students, assorted school supplies, bookbags, Chromebook sleeves, and durable backpacks suitable for students ranging from Kindergarten to middle school. Your contribution will not only provide essential resources but also nurture a child's self-esteem, laying a solid foundation for their academic success.
NOTE: Shoe donations are currently accepted exclusively from commercial distributors. We are actively pursuing discounted bulk rates to procure high-quality shoes suitable for children aged 5 to 12.

Shoes for School Booth

As an event sponsor, you can operate a booth to distribute supplies to families and share information about your organization.

Event Details:

  • Jacob Building - 3301 E Magnolia Ave, Knoxville, TN 37914
  • Please plan to arrive between 7:45 and 8:00 am to ensure your booth is set up and ready by 8:30 am.
  • The event's conclusion time is yet to be determined.

To participate, set up a booth or tent and organize an engaging activity or game for children, rewarding them with school supplies. We recommend preparing for at least 1,500 children. This presents a fantastic opportunity for your employees/associates/members to collaborate on a one-day community service project.

The KAUL is dedicated to providing comprehensive support services for students and families, recognizing stable employment's pivotal role in student success. As an event sponsor, you can showcase job openings within your organization.

At the Career Booth, attendees can expect:

  • Human Resource representatives equipped with corporate swag and ready to address inquiries.
  • Detailed job listings featuring available positions, salaries, and minimum employment requirements.
  • On-site interview opportunities, where select organizations may conduct immediate interviews for interested candidates, expediting the hiring process.
  • Access various resource materials, including printed and digital resources such as industry-specific guides and QR codes linking to job portals.
  • Branding and informational materials about your organization provide attendees insight into your company culture and values.
  • Company presentations or informational sessions give attendees a deeper understanding of career opportunities.
