Early Spring Plant Identification Walk with the Green Girl

Saturday, May 13 | 11am-1pm | Ages 12+

Location: Meet at the picnic tables to the left of the Manor House (north end of Stony Kill Farm, 79 Farmstead Ln, 12590)

Description: Celebrate Spring with the Green Girl! Take an early Spring Plant Identification walk through Stony Kill Farm Environmental Education Center with local Herbalist and Plant Spirit Healer, Karine Gordineer, as we identify some of the most interesting medicinal plants and Spring Wildflowers that arrive early in the season, many of which are spectacularly beautiful but can only be seen for a short period of time. Participants will learn plant identification basics, how to identify local plants and wildflowers, and Karine will share her knowledge of indigenous and culinary usage of these early spring plants. Open to adults and children 12+. Class fee is $25, pre-registration is required, and space is limited. For a full bio of Karine Gordineer visit: greengirlherbs.net

What to bring: Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a refillable water bottle.

For more information about the walk, email Karine at admin@greengirlherbs.net
