2025 Borough Official of the Year

The Board of Directors of the Allegheny County Boroughs Association is pleased to announce this year’s Borough Official of the Year program, which seeks to recognize a borough mayor, member of council or staff member who makes an extraordinary contribution to local government.

Nominations for the 2025 year of the program are now being accepted either electronically or in hard copy format and are due no later than: October 23, 2024.

The Borough Official of the Year recipient will be recognized in tandem with the Allegheny County Boroughs Association annual banquet, held on February 1, 2025.

Please note, only ALOM member boroughs are eligible to participate in this program and seated ACBA Board Members are not eligible.

Nomination Narrative

Please provide a one page narrative describing the details of the nomination. There is no specific predetermined category or criteria that must be adhered to. Rather, the application review committee will consider the contributions described in the narrative and the respective impact to the borough community. (Examples include, but are not limited to: implementing a unique program or service, spearheading a cost saving effort, volunteering time as a community steward, enhancing communications and legislative advocacy)
