Fermentation on the Farm

Class Description: It's time to learn to make a mixed vegetable ferment!

Did you know that every human culture on earth has some sort of fermented food? It makes sense, because the process of fermentation helps us digest food more easily and with better nutrition.  Fermented foods also contain loads of pre and probiotics that help maintain a healthy digestive system.  Also, they are so incredibly delicious and simple to make.  You might think you've never eaten fermented vegetables -- but I bet you've had a pickle or some sauerkraut at least once in your life.  Now it's time to learn how to use salt, fresh vegetables and a mason jar to make a ferment that is just right for your taste buds.

***Closer to the date we will know exactly which vegetables will be used for the class***
