We are excited about your interest in volunteering with Girls Inc. of Long Island. Our mission is to inspire all girls to be Strong, Smart & Bold. In partnership with schools and local organizations, we focus on the development of the whole girl. At Girls Inc., girls learn to value themselves, take risks, and discover and develop their inherent strengths. The combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships, a pro-girl environment, and research-based programming equips girls to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers, and grow up healthy, educated, and independent. Informed by girls and their families, we also advocate for legislation and policies to increase opportunities and rights for all girls. Girls Inc. strives to bring together a diverse tapestry of dedicated volunteers with a wide array of strengths, skills, talents, abilities and backgrounds that reflect communities we serve.
All volunteers will be subject to background checks in order to ensure the safety of the girls that we serve.
