Your gift makes Outdoor Science Camp possible for a middle school student who needs financial support to attend. California schools require students to pay, or fundraise, at least half of their Outdoor Science Camp tuition, which ranges from $300 to $500.
This is unattainable for students from low-income families. By California law, if one child cannot pay or raise their tuition, the entire class can’t attend Outdoor Science Camp. On average, 30 percent of students need a $150 scholarship to attend. Your gift of $50, $100 or $150 CAN and WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE to a child for a life-changing outdoor science education experience.
Scholarships are need-based and grants are recommended by the teachers. The recipients are kept confidential, and scholarship money is designated for students to attend our Outdoor Science Camp.
Your gift of a scholarship will change a life, opening up the world of natural science to low-income and at-risk youth who might not experience Outdoor Science Camp without your help.
Thank you!
