SRF presents Luc Mehl - The Attention Threshold: Using creativity and challenge to find presence in the outdoors
Join us on April 29, 2021 at 6:30PM MST for a much anticipated presentation by legendary backcountry traveler Luc Mehl
Luc Mehl grew up in a village on the Kuskokwim River, interior Alaska. Luc left Alaska to pursue college and graduate studies in Geology, and returned to work in various environmental science roles. In his free time, Luc dove deep into Alaska's remaining wild places, visiting 10,000 miles by foot, ski, ice skate, and packraft. The drowning of a friend in 2014 led Luc to reevaluate his relationship with recreation and the outdoors, ultimately resulting in the creation of The Packraft Handbook, a comprehensive resource for people interested in incorporating portable boats on their adventures. Join Luc Mehl and Snake River Fund for a discussion of how to use creativity and challenge to find a sense of presence in the outdoors.
