Thank you for joining the Virginia Society of Ornithology!

VSO members are united by the love of birds, and together we work to advance conservation efforts and the enjoyment of birds in Virginia. Members receive VSO publications and are invited to participate in our many birding events and field trips throughout the year.

SPONSOR-A-SPECIES! What’s your favorite bird? If it nests in Virginia, it is likely available for you to sponsor for the Second Virginia Breeding Bird Atlas! Your name, as well as the name of someone you may choose to honor, will be presented on the species account page on the Atlas website. Best of all, you will know that your dollars go a long way towards supporting bird conservation in Virginia!

Sponsoring your bird is affordable – you can make a one-time deposit of $100 to reserve your bird. Final payments are due by June 2025.
