Thank you for visiting our Passover Reservations Form. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL SEDERS & MEALS. Via this form, you will be able to reserve for:

  • 1st and 2nd Night Seders on March 30 and 31
  • Lunches and dinners during Passover through Shabbat Dinner Saturday, April 7

Early Bird pricing is now over. Prices are:
$25 for Seders, $19 for Passover lunches, $23 for Passover dinners

IMPORTANT INFO: All meals have increased by $5 each as of March 22. You can ONLY cancel or change a meal with 48 notice by emailing HillelMealResChange@gmail.com. You CANNOT swipe into a dining hall during lunch or dinner hours and still receive a refund from the University for your Passover meal.

You'll need to pay for your meals with a credit card. Once Passover ends, Hillel will submit to University Housing the meals for which you will need reimbursement.


NOTE: Students who have meal plans can be reimbursed with Blue Bucks for the meals they pay for and eat at Hillel on Passover. If you know your student's 8-digit Umich ID, please enter it next to his/her name. Graduating students will be able to cash in their Blue Bucks through U-M's Housing Department.

SEDER THEMES & RESERVATIONS

FIRST NIGHT: Friday, March 30

5:30pm - Haggadah Highlights Seders A & B
You're invited to experience the main highlights of the Haggadah with Hillel staff and students. At this Seder, which will run about one hour before the festive meal, you'll be encouraged to participate with friends in singing, reading, and sharing your own traditions. We won’t read everything, but we’ll explore as much of the Hagadah as we can before our delicious meal! These will be large and energetic community Seders (50-100 people), happening simultaneously in 2 rooms. Optional after-dinner hang out to sing your favorite bonus songs and find the afikomen!

 

5:30pm - Haggadah Classics Seder
The Haggadah Classics Seder will be similar to to the Highlights Seders above and run just over an hour before the festive meal. At this Seder you will also be invited to participate with friends in reading, sharing your own traditions, and lots of singing the classic tunes we love! We won’t read everything, but we’ll explore as much of the Hagadah as we can. This will be an energetic, large community Seder (50-100 people).

 

7:45pm - Women's Seder with Tilly
Join Tilly for an interactive Seder that hits the classics of the Seder order while highlighting women in the Passover story and throughout Jewish tradition. About 2 hours with dinner. This Seder is not only for women - all gender identities are welcome!

 

8:30pm - Traditional Seder with Students
Experience the Passover Seder late into the night with a complete reading of the Haggadah starting at the traditional time, lots of singing, asking questions, and great conversation. Led by students (~3 hours with the meal).

 

SECOND NIGHT: Saturday, March 31

6:00pm - Freshmen Seder
Are you a Freshman on campus for Passover? Join the First-Year Students of Hillel for a second night Seder! This seder will be short & sweet and will include just the right amount of all of your Passover favorites, in about 1.5 hours. FYSH looks forward to sharing this fun and lively Seder with the amazing community of First-Year Students at Michigan! 

 

6:00pm - Interactive Seder
Join us for an interactive Seder which will give you the perfect taste of Passover traditions as well as some fun games, yummy food, songs, and participatory readings. A great mix of prayer and play! The Seder will last about 2 hours. Looking forward to seeing you at this spirited community Seder! 

 ***THESE TWO SEDERS have been combined and will include both social justice and Interactive components. Register for either one and get both themes!

6:00pm - Social Justice Seder

How is this night different from all other nights? 
This is a night where we come together to talk about important issues surrounding our community. Join us for a very special social justice seder! During the meal, there will be conversations surrounding the themes of Passover and how they relate to modern-day social justice issues. At the end of the seder, we will provide you with different ways to take action, either on your own or as a group. We want you to make all other nights more like this night. We want you to make a change. *there will be live music

PASSOVER WEEK MEALS
Early Bird through March 21 prices are $14 for lunch and $18 for dinner. Prices will increase by $5 each the morning of March 22.
