When Cleveland Neighborhood Progress and Burten, Bell, Carr Development Inc. took ownership of Shaker Square in 2022 to prevent it from going into foreclosure, there has been no shortage of projects to invest in the Square.

Since then, we have invested millions of dollars in new roofs and freshly paved parking lots, improved security, and community programming.

Your gift today will fund:

• Programming and Events - Activating Shaker Square by hosting events throughout the year is the best way to attract residents, customers, and quality merchants. From regular programming to seasonal events, we will continue hosting family-friendly activities and events that draw people from the surrounding neighborhoods and beyond.
• New Signage and Wayfinding - It's time to retire Shaker Square's old, dated branding and install new signs with lighting a a fresh take on this classic commercial district. From top to bottom, new signage will welcome guests and point them in the direction of their favorite shops.
• Landscaping Upgrades - While we work with you and other community members on the bigger vision for Shaker Square, we can also add new planters, seating, garbage cans, and other additions that make immediate improvements to life around the Square.
• Marketing to Promote the Square, its Businesses, and Events - It's time for people to rediscover what they love about Shaker Square, so we are leaning into marketing. From social media and e-newsletters to targeted advertising and coverage on broadcast media, we are promoting the Square, its businesses, and events that happen throughout the year.

Combined, these investments will transform Shaker Square for tomorrow and for the next 100 years.
