Mandeville Creek Maintenance Day

GWC LOGO.jpg

Thank you for signing up for the second maintenance day at Mandeville Creek on Monday, July 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Bozeman High School!

Mandeville Creek is a small urban stream that flows through Bozeman, passing through Montana State University and Bozeman High School campuses. As an urban stream, Mandeville Creek faces various water quality challenges. In Fall 2024, volunteers planted native shrubs and trees on a section of the creek with native riparian plant species to provide erosion control, shade, water quality improvements, and fish and wildlife habitat. We will be mulching, pulling weeds, and adjusting cages so these plants can be successful. Please fill out the required Acknowledgement of Risk form if you still need to submit it for 2024.

You will receive a follow-up email and a reminder with additional details as the date approaches. Please reach out to Tess at tess@gallatinwatershedcouncil.org with any questions. On behalf of the Gallatin Watershed Council, we are grateful for your stewardship and look forward to getting our hands dirty with you!

Last Tuesday, Bozeman High School and Gallatin Watershed Council staff maintained half of the stretch, and we will be completing it Monday, July 8.
