10,000 Trees for Tacoma is a program being offered by Tahoma Bird Alliance (formerly Tahoma Audubon Society) to help increase the native tree canopy and bird habitat in the greater Tacoma area. Our goal is to give away and plant 1,000 trees in 2024. We plan to increase the number each year to give away and plant a total of 10,000 trees in the next 4 years.
We are currently "sold out" of our first 1,000 trees we have to give away for March 2024. Due to the unexpectedly high demand we are working on trying to purchase more trees. If we are able to get more, we will contact you with which trees and quantities are available. Please indicate below the species of trees you would like.
The trees in our program are free, but a donation of any amount is encouraged to help us fund our next batch of trees and supplies. Tahoma Audubon Society has purchased the trees thanks in part to a grant from The Murray Family Foundation.
