As a Knoxville Area Urban League (KAUL) volunteer, I understand and acknowledge the importance of maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of my volunteer work. I recognize that during my service, I may have access to sensitive information related to the organization, its clients, partners, donors, employees, and other stakeholders. Therefore, I agree to abide by the following confidentiality guidelines:
1. I will respect the privacy and confidentiality of all individuals associated with the Knoxville Area Urban League, including but not limited to clients, staff members, volunteers, donors, and partners.
2. I will not disclose confidential information obtained during my volunteer service to unauthorized individuals or entities. This includes information shared verbally, in writing, electronically, or through any other means of communication.
3. I understand that confidential information may include, but is not limited to, personal and financial information, client records, organizational strategies, business plans, proprietary data, and any other information deemed confidential by the Knoxville Area Urban League.
4. I will only use confidential information to fulfill my volunteer duties and responsibilities with the Knoxville Area Urban League. I will not use such information for personal gain or disclose it to third parties without authorization.
5. I will take appropriate measures to safeguard confidential information, including maintaining the security of physical documents and electronic files, using passwords and encryption where applicable, and exercising caution when discussing sensitive matters in public or online forums.
6. I understand that any breach of confidentiality may result in disciplinary action, termination of my volunteer position, and/or legal consequences, depending on the severity of the violation and its impact on the Knoxville Area Urban League and its stakeholders.
