AWARDS BREAKFAST
At this annual event, we honor local leaders with 2 awards: the Sydnor Thompson, Jr. Community Leader Award and the Bridge-Builder Award.
YOUTH EVENTS
Our quarterly youth events for middle and high school students bring youth together from different faiths, races and socioeconomic backgrounds to learn more about each other’s faith traditions and to serve area residents in need.
In 2023, we're hosting an Interfaith Youth Panel, a service project, a day and a half mini camp, and a visit to the Catawba Reservation.
We also offer regular educational and service projects throughout the year for middle and high schoolers.
COMMUNITY-WIDE INTERFAITH THANKSGIVING SERVICE
People of all faiths and backgrounds are welcomed as we come together in a spirit of understanding to celebrate diversity and pray for unity. Each year this service is held in a different house of worship, and faith leaders across the community are invited to participate. Canned goods are collected for Loaves & Fishes; financial donations are shared by Crisis Assistance Ministries and MeckMIN.
OPEN TABLES
Open Tables, a program launched in the summer of 2019, aims to build substantive relationships among our diverse congregations through fellowship and food. One important aspect of this program is involving members, and not just clergy, of each congregation for a potluck dinner and substantive discussions
INTERFAITH SERVICE PROJECTS:
