Teaching Children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in General Education Settings with
Raizy Rubinfeld Bauman and
Toby Lederfeind-Coleman

Wednesday, April 27 | 8-9 pm | On Zoom

Ongoing series of discussions on resources for families with a child with special needs. 

 

Raizy Rubinfeld Bauman is a teacher of the deaf in the New York State Department of Education.  She holds a master's degree in special education from Pace University.  She was on staff at Strivright, a preschool for children with hearing loss or auditory processing delays in Brooklyn.  Mrs. Bauman earned a second master's degree in teaching the deaf and hard of hearing at Hunter College.  

 

Toby Lederfeind-Coleman has been in the special education field for 10 years. She has served in various positions including paraeducator, ABA tech, special education teacher, advocate for parents. She is currently teaching students with some degree of hearing loss ASL and coaching parents at the Maryland School for the Deaf.
