Sponges, Seaweeds, Shells & More:
Exploring the Intertidal Zone

Saturday, June 29th, 7:30 - 9 a.m.

Led by field guide author and science educator Gil Newton.

Are you curious about what you find and see on your beach walks? Join field guide author and science educator Gil Newton to discover the shellfish, crabs, echinoderms (including sea cucumber), sponges, seaweeds, the "living fossil," and other creatures that share our sandy shores. Get to know your wild, intertidal neighbors at Red River Beach on Nantucket Sound.

This walk is from 7:30-9:00 a.m. before a beach parking fee starts. However, if you want to stay beyond 9, you can pay a parking fee at the toll booth.
