Cul2vate is a nonprofit organization based in Middle Tennessee, with the mission of growing food and growing people. One of our programs is to promote community gardens to serve residents, schools, nonprofits, and more. To be considered for a raised bed garden, you must be a non-profit, legally tax-exempt organization, or eligible charity located in the Greater Nashville Area. Your organization must serve a charitable purpose, be in education, or otherwise enhance the quality of life in the Nashville Area in regard to: food and farming education, food insecurity, addiction recovery, post incarceration support, or community resources. Cul2vate Community Garden application guidelines and requirements: Applications are available now on the Cul2vate website and due by Friday, November 8, 2024. This form allows a minimum of 2 raised beds and a maximum of 5. Partner recipients of a Community Garden will be selected in late November, and projects are projected to be completed by the end of February 2025. Community Garden recipients must complete an evaluation form after their project is complete. If they fail to do so, the recipients will not be eligible for future gardens nor for further training and support. Only the following entities can receive gardens: Nonprofit organizations with a 501(c)(3) status, Government entities, such as cities, counties and schools. Below is the Application Form.
