Celebrate Arbor Day 2022 along the trail on Avalonia Land Conservancy’s Moore Woodland’s preserve in Mystic, CT
Join Jim Luce, retired Connecticut College Supervisor of Grounds on Avalonia’s Moore Woodlands in Mystic on Arbor Day, Saturday, April 30 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
You will receive a preserve trail map - then you will walk the trail searching for trees with ‘tags’ that identify the tree and match each tree tag with a number on your map. (You will find Connecticut’s state tree - the white oak somewhere along the trail)
Learn more about identifying trees and enjoy your walk on one of many Avalonia’s trailed properties.
(Rain cancels but tree identification maps will be available on site for two weeks, and the tree tags will remain.)
