Lower Columbia Road Trip Description:

Hit the road with Confluence to dig deeper into the storied landscape of the Columbia River system. This three day trip through the lower Columbia River takes you to special places with rich native, historical and environmental significance. Expert guest speakers share place-based knowledge and native perspectives that enrich our ever-evolving understanding of the Columbia River.

Themes include Columbia River history, tribal sovereignty and survivance, traditional ecological knowledge, evolving land ethic and designing for social change.

The trip includes visits to:

  • Confluence Bird Blind and the Sandy River Delta , Troutdale, OR
  • Confluence Land Bridge and Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, Vancouver, WA
  • Cape Disappointment State Park, Ilwaco, WA
  • Middle Village/Station Camp, Lewis and Clark National and State Park, Chinook, WA.

Tax Deductable

Confluence is a nonprofit organization under section 501(C)(3) of the IRS code. The fair market value of one ticket on the Confluence on the Columbia road trip is estimated to be $325. This includes speakers' honorariums, three meals, parking passes and program coordination. Any gift to Confluence beyond this ticket price is fully tax deductable under the law.
