Trail Maintenance and Invasive Plant Removal at Cedar Wood Preserve

Date: Sunday, October 16

Time: 9:00 am -12:00 pm

Join us on Sunday, October 16th from 9-12 at one of our northern gems, the Cedar Wood Preserve.  This nearly 50-acre former farm boasts a combination of open fields, woodlands, and wetlands. Our efforts will focus on removal of invasive shrubs such as autumn olive and multiflora rose.  In addition we will perform general trail maintenance.   No experience required!  On site training/guidance will be provided.

There is ample parking in the newly constructed parking/trailhead area, located opposite 183 North Wawecus Hill Road in Norwich. Gloves and sturdy footwear are recommended.  Feel free to bring your favorite loppers, clippers, or other hand tools, but we will also have a selection of tools available.  This a chance to see this beautiful preserve and assist in getting it ready for a grand opening.

Although not required, your registration will allow us to better plan for the day!

Thank you!
