Screenwriting

Explore the art and craft of screenwriting during this 8-week class. Through discussions and writing exercises, you’ll learn the basics of structure, plot, character, conflict, and dialogue. By the end of the sessions, you’ll have at least one written scene and the tools you’ll need to begin a feature length screenplay or television pilot.

Instructor: Tiffany Alexander has a BA from Hampton University, and an MFA in Narrative Media Writing from the University of Georgia. She is an award-winning journalist, author, and screenwriter whose work explores social justice issues, including the prison reform, the academic achievement gap, and generational poverty. She teaches at CSU’s School of Film and Media Arts and works with creatives – ages 2 to 92 – around the city of Cleveland.
