Tree ID Snowshoe Walk at McCoy/Chapman 2023

When: Saturday February 18 at 10:00 AM at McCoy/Chapman

Join us for a winter walk (about 1 mile) on the Esker Trail at the McCoy-Chapman property to identify our common New England trees in their winter garb.  We will talk about bark, buds, branching patterns, tree shapes, shade tolerance, site preferences, competition, history, some of the more common tree insects and diseases we see, and more.   We may not have all the answers but will have fun walking the trails and talking about trees with you! Bring snowshoes and microspikes.
