Powerful Proposals for Nonfiction

In the rules of submissions, a fiction author must have a completed (and edited) manuscript before attempting to pander to an editor, publisher or agent. Non-Fiction authors, on the other hand, just need an idea. The proposal rules for non-fiction are also stringent, but fear not. This single-session craft takl will cover all the basics of submitting a winning proposal and following every rule to get your manuscript in the hands of a publisher or agent.

Instructor: Rod Martinez writes books geared toward middle school-aged children and young adults. He grew up reading Marvel comics and watching "The Twilight Zone" TV show. Rod is the recipient of the 2017 Jerry Spinelli Scholarship, 2018 Professional Development for Artists Grant in Tampa, and several BIPOC literary scholarships. He speaks at schools, conferences, and libraries, promoting the love of the written word.
