Rewiring My Brain with Appreciation

 

Sometimes we get stuck in cycles of negative thoughts or aren’t able to find the good in a situation. Or we might struggle to be flexible and able to adapt when life doesn't go  as expected. Do you ever feel like this is true for you? 

The ability to see the positive and be adaptable in any situation can feel easier said than done, especially in these uncertain times. But thankfully your brain is designed with the capacity to grow and develop these skills.  By developing a lifestyle of appreciation, you can gain more capacity to remain encouraged in any circumstance, be more adaptable when life throws you curveballs, and you will find  a higher sense of satisfaction in life!

In this 3-hour training on the skill of appreciation (Relational Skill #4), THRIVEtoday President, Chris Coursey, will share the brain-science theory behind how appreciation has the power to transform your thoughts and life. You will discover specific triggers that might be keeping you stuck in negative thinking and come away with simple ways to develop and spread new life-transforming thought patterns that can soon become second nature!

 

Sessions:

This event will include three sessions with 10 minute breaks in between. Each session will include an exercise that you will be able to practice/discuss in breakout groups.

  • Session 1: Understanding the Gift of Appreciation. Learn the theory behind appreciation and how this skill has the potential to transform your satisfaction levels in life. 

  • Session 2: Getting Unstuck. Discover some of the triggers that can keep you stuck in negative or rigid thinking and learn tips for what to do when life circumstances make finding appreciation difficult.

  • Session 3: Rewiring My Brain to Find the Good. Learn how your brain rewiring process works and discover how to increase your capacity to navigate the ups and downs of life.

 

Breakout Rooms:

If you are attending solo, we will add you to a breakout room with other attendees. Or you can encourage friends from various locations to register and request to be placed in a breakout room together. Groups of 3 are ideal.

Please Note: A recording will be emailed within a few days of this event for those of you who are not able to attend live. You will have access to this recording for three weeks.
