Renowned artist Wolf Kahn has generously donated his 1995 pastel painting, Orange, Yellow, Green, and Blue, to be raffled off by BMAC this summer. Matted and framed under museum glass, the piece measures 17 x 20 inches (including frame) and is valued at $10,000.
Orange, Yellow, Green, and Blue exemplifies what art historian Barbara Novak had in mind when she wrote, "Kahn’s remarkable work in [pastels] emphasizes color -- at first in austere, tonalist images, and later in brilliant, high-keyed paintings that have established his reputation as one of the most important colorists working in America today."
Raffle tickets are $60 each or 3 for $150. Only 200 tickets will be sold.
Drawing will take place Friday, September 6, 2019 at 8 p.m., or earlier, if all tickets have been sold before then. The winner need not be present at the drawing.
