Ignite your creativity with a Summer's evening sketching workshop at Dunn Gardens! Nestled in the serene ambiance of the Great Lawn, Suzanne Brooker will assist you in creating your own sketches with our many gentle giants offering themselves as your muse. One-on-one instruction will give you additional confidence in your drawing abilities. No previous experience needed. We will also be serving a fun summer cocktail to get those creative juices flowing!
The tools you’ll need are a small sketch book (6 x 9, 8.5 x 11 or 9 x12”) and few graphite pencils (HB, 2B and 4B) plus eraser! The class will begin with a quick mini lesson that will help you refocus your attention to the drawing possibilities of shape, value (light/dark) and textural marks.
