Shipe Park, located in Hyde Park, is the heart and soul of one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city. Nestled between Ave F, Ave. G and 45th Street, the park is known for large trees, growing along Waller Creek, newly re-surfaced tennis and basketball courts, a fabulous new swimming pool, playground, and an historic log cabin style park shelter.

Shipe Park continues to need your support to help keep the park in good condition for not only today’s park users, but also for folks in the future. Climate change has put extra stress on the landscape, and each season Friends of Shipe Park take on new projects. Your donation will be used to provide extra care for our 300 year old Heritage trees and to pay for compost and other materials used at volunteer events. Support is also needed to help us fund special events like the Pool Opening Party, and the Halloween Movie Night.
