9/11 Security Enterprise Award

After reviewing the criteria for nomination, fill out the information on the person or organization that is nominating the organization for the Transportan Security Enterprise Award

Any private sector oranization may be nominated for the award.

Of the more than 10,000 technology and service companies serving the security and law enforcement community we are looking for 100 of the very best.  Jurisdiction members worldwide spend millions to billions on equipment, technology, and security projects.  

Any organization may submit a single product, service or project for consideration to be nominated that they feel has contributed significantly to security towards fighting terrorism, serious crime and disaster. Each submission will be reviewed and evaluated based on information submitted for overall practicality, design, effectiveness, success, durability, and Innovation. References from appropriate individuals, authorities and other information should be submitted to substantiate outcomes to the evaluation team.   

Evaluation Team: The 9/11 Award Committee shall evaluate all submitted applications and send the information out to appropriate person(s) for input. The evaluators then will mover forward up to 5 organizations from each category.  All determinations are final. 

Those nominees announced prior to the 9/11 ceremonies and will be awarded a Nomination Certificate. One of those nominees for each category will be awarded the 9/11 Security Enterprise Award.

Submission Guidelines

Weighted Scoring: 25% for rationale for nomination; 25% from testimonials/certifications from public officials or authorities "end users"; 25%: Innovation: and 25% complexity of the challenge.

Award Citation
A brief statement, not to exceed 100 words, giving the major accomplishments for which the award is being made. This will be used if the nominee is selected as the awardee.

Rationale for Nomination
A statement, not to exceed 750 words, on why the the product, equipment, or service is being nominated;

Supporting Documentation
No more than eight brief supporting letters and documents from from end users who are public officials, authorities, test labs, government agencies, or government certifications will be considered. The amount of time the product, equipment or service has been available may be considered in the review, especially if less than one year.

Pictures / Documents
Pictures, not to exceed 10, and other information may be included in attachments not to exceed 3 documents.

Fee:  If a company is nominated and supported by a goverment / authority there is not fee; if the submission is from someone other than a government /authority then a fee of $295 is required.  Fees support the 9/11 Award and Medal program.  Those organizations will receive a credit for sponsor ads on the security resource member exchange website and listed in the directory for a period of one year.
