Virtual Emergency Preparedness Series Volunteer Sign-Up

The H.E.A.R.T. Program is piloting a virtual Emergency Preparedness Series that will run from July 23rd through December 17th 2021.

This series is tailored to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD aka trainees) to educate them on recognizing various types of emergencies; basic actions to take during an emergency and ways to find help to keep themselves and/or their families safe; and planning for those emergencies to the best of their abilities.

We are looking for enthusiastic virtual volunteers to help with putting together lesson plans, teaching a topic on emergency preparedness, sharing your expertise on preparing for an emergency, or recruiting other volunteers for H.E.A.R.T.'s Emergency Preparedness Series.

NOTE: All lessons are recorded on Zoom and posted in our private group that only the H.E.A.R.T. team of staff, trainees, families, funders, and key individuals have access.
