Almost one third of the food that is grown in the United States is wasted. In this professional development workshop, teachers will explore why and where food gets wasted, learn about strategies and community programs to prevent waste, discover ways to reduce food waste in the classroom, and educate their students about food waste.
Location: Yellow Farmhouse Education Center. 8:30am - 2:30pm. Registration is free for FCS Teachers. This professional development is intended for teachers from CT, NY, RI, and MA.
