Purim-Themed Author Visit with Leah Sokol

The Jewish Library of Baltimore, together with PJ Our Way, invites you to join us for a special pre-Purim Author Talk with Leah Sokol to discuss her book The King's Horse: A Purim Story. This event is for children age 6 and older.

The king's horse lives in the biggest stall in the Persian royal stables. King Achashverosh never comes to visit; he is a busy man, always planning parties, and wars, and then more parties. But tonight, something strange is going on. Haman is in the courtyard, waking everyone up with his racket. The horse doesn't know what Haman's up to, but something tells him he's not going to like it...
 
Leah Sokol has been writing since first grade! She sold her first story while still in high school, then went on to major in biology at Brooklyn College. She attended Columbia Law School and practiced law for almost two years at a large law firm in New York City, but she kept writing and submitting stories in her spare time. Now a full-time author, she writes books on Jewish subjects under the name Leah Sokol and mainstream fantasy and science fiction under the name Leah Cypess. She lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with her husband and four children.
