WHO® is a comprehensive Guidance and Counseling Curriculum
WHO® (We Help Ourselves) is a prevention and education program designed for youth grades Pre-K through high school. WHO® teaches children how to protect themselves from victimization, such as child abuse, neglect, bullying, kidnapping, peer pressure, domestic violence, social media, and emotional abuse.
Through in-class presentations, training, materials, and vignettes for K-12 educators, WHO® meets TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) standards and Senate Bill 11.
According to evidence and feedback from educators using the WHO® curriculum, the program is known to reduce fighting and school suspensions. School counselors have reported that the program reduces bullying and inappropriate touching, and improves the mental health of the school
Unlike similar programs, WHO® relays important information in a non-threatening manner with no scare tactics. Trained facilitators guide the curriculum, which goes far beyond simplistic “stranger-danger” situations. Follow-up lesson plans are also an essential part of the WHO® Program.
Training includes for K-5th grade, 12 hours. For our Middle School training, 6 hours and for High School training 6 hours. All other materials must be purchased through our website.
EXCEPT *Scooter Skunk training which includes 6-hours of training, Scooter puppet, USB with video, stickers, pins, and posters.
