Dyslexia with Rabbi Yochanon Stein

Wednesday, March 30 | 8-9 pm | On Zoom

Ongoing series of discussions on resources for families with a child with special needs. 

Rabbi Stein will speak about dyslexia. He will address the issue of effective instruction for children with dyslexia and learning differences.

Rabbi Stein has built a career around teaching children and adults with language-based disabilities how to read and learn in his roles at the Weinberg Academy, The Jemicy School, and as a Program Head in the Department of Special Education in Howard County. He has worked in the field of education and working with children with exceptionalism for over 30 years.

He earned his master’s degree in special education from Johns Hopkins where he currently works as an adjunct professor in the School of Education, focused on courses in educational leadership, special education, reading, and many other topics. He has presented at local, national and international conferences, including presenting at the International Dyslexia Association’s annual conference and at Torah U'Mesorah.

Currently, he is the principal of the upper elementary divsion at the Bais Yaakov School for Girls.
