Dedicating a seat at The National Theatre is one of the most personal and special ways that an individual can support The National Theatre Foundation’s operations. Give someone the gift of a lifetime by engraving their name in American Theatre History. Dedicate a seat for a friend, loved one, organization, or just for you.
As the oldest cultural institution in Washington, DC, The National Theatre has hosted countless stars onstage and in the audience. Your seat will be among those dedicated for Bob Fosse, Helen Hayes, Pearl Bailey, Cab Calloway, a host of American Presidents, and many more.
When you dedicate a seat, we will provide you with a framed copy of your dedication plaque and a certificate that you can share with your honoree. We will also work with you to schedule an in-person unveiling of your dedicated seat.
Funds raised from dedicated seats are used to support The National Theatre Foundation’s three free educational programs.
(While we wish that dedicating a seat meant it was yours and yours alone, dedicating a seat does not guarantee you exclusive rights to sit in the seat for shows or ticketing priority for the seat. Alack, alas!)
