Holiday wreath

Learn to make a festive door wreath using conifer branches and other colorful foliage.  Once you know how to make a basic green wreath, you can decorate the top layer for any season of the year—from Easter eggs or Harvest mini-pumpkins to Christmas pine cones and glass balls or Hanukah décor items.  This class uses the three-layer wreath-making method, which gives you a full textured wreath customized to your taste.  You can also use this method to make candle rings and garlands.  Come join the fun and celebrate the holiday season with fresh piney greens.

The teacher, Carolyn Pauw Barden, is a lifelong Lake Forest Park resident. She is avid gardener.  Her 2.5 acre garden (Pheasant Ridge) has been toured by many.  She has a BFA from the UW and is a practicing fiber artist, member of The Seattle Wearable Arts Group and has taught classes annually at the Kruckeberg Botanic Garden for many years.
