VPF · 2024 Park Access Grant Application

Since 2016, Vermont Parks Forever has provided free day use coupons each year to thousands of Vermonters, including foster families, youth programs, those with developmental disabilities, BIPOC communities, new Americans, mental health clients and those with limited mobility, who otherwise would not have the chance to experience all Vermont’s state parks have to offer.

Organizations serving Vermonters facing barriers to outdoor experiences are encouraged to apply. Please fill out the form below to be considered as a grantee for the Park Access program in 2024. To be considered for funding in advance of park season, please apply by Friday, April 5th. VPF will review applications and get back to organizations in early May. If you have questions about your application or the program, please email info@vermontparksforever.org.

Day-Use Coupon and Transportation Needs

Please note that a day-use coupon is valid for one time entry into one state park. Ex: bringing 15 people into a park on Monday and again on Tuesday will require 30 coupons.

An estimate is okay! Please note that Day-Use Coupons may only be used by individuals receiving services from a community partner and the staff organizing/supervising park outings. Day-Use Coupons may not be used by staff members without program participants present.

Reporting Requirements *

Grantees are required to report park coupon usage to Vermont Parks Forever by October 14th, 2024 in order to be considered for coupons in future years. An example of the document is available above.

Pass Use by Staff *

Please be advised that Day-Use Coupons are intended for use by individuals receiving services from Grantees/Community Partners. Staff may use Day-Use Coupons to supervise/organize group outings; however, Day-Use coupons should not be distributed to staff for personal use.

Vermont Parks Forever uses photos and stories from Park Access grantees to share the positive impact of donations to the program and help secure future funding for park coupons. Documentation from grantees’ time in the parks is essential. Photos and quotes may be anonymized due to privacy concerns (photos from behind, only including hands, etc).
