The Dougherty Arts Center is a beloved Austin treasure which provides quality arts education, theater productions, juried gallery shows and services that are affordable and accessible to Austinites of all ages.

The Friends of the Dougherty Arts Center is dedicated to protecting, promoting, and improving the Dougherty Arts Center’s facilities and programming through advocacy, community involvement and financial support – with our primary focus being the rebuilding of the Dougherty Arts Center at its current location in Butler Park.
