I meet the prerequisites outlined in the course announcement, OR I have communicated with the instructor for approval before registering for this course.

Prerequisite: This class is open to matriculated students in the Adult, and Child/Adult psychoanalytic tracks. Students will need to have completed all, or nearly all, of the classes in the core curriculum. Individuals who have graduated from the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy track or students in that track who have completed all or nearly all of the core curriculum and have at least one case in progress may also take the course with the permission of the instructors.

Prerequisite: This class is open to matriculated Psychoanalytic Adult, Adult/Child or Child-Focused students who have completed all or nearly all of the Core Curriculum which must include having completed Development Across the Life Cycle Parts 1a, 1b and 2. Students must also have completed Developmental Crises Part 1. Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy students and graduates who have completed the Core Curriculum and have at least one intensive case may also take these classes. Other interested students must have the permission of the instruct

Prerequisites: This class is for advanced students matriculated in the Child-Focused or combined Adult/Child Psychoanalytic Track and 33 credit hours of the Core Curriculum or permission of the instructors. Matriculated students with experience seeing children who intend to become child-focused or adult/child analytic candidates may take this seminar with permission. The seminars will be open to non-child analytic candidates based on their readiness to participate at this level with the material. If you need permission, please contact the instructor(s) directly before registering.

Prerequisites: This class is open to matriculated Psychoanalytic Adult or Adult/Child students who have completed all, or nearly all, of the Core Curriculum at the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas. The instructor may make some exceptions to the requirements. Please get in touch with the instructor directly about permission to join the class outside these prerequisites.

All case material will be carefully disguised. We ask that participants agree to hold all material presented with the utmost care, following ethical and professional guidelines.


Course Cancellation Policy:

  • The registration fee is non-refundable.
  • Students who cancel before class begins will be given a tuition refund, less a $40 administrative fee.
  • There will be no refunds for cancellations after class begins.
  • Students who drop the class after it begins are expected to pay the full tuition.
 Late registrations may be accepted in exceptional circumstances, incurring an additional $100 late registration fee.
