Canning Your Summer Produce

Resilient Roots invites you to learn how to preserve your summer fruits and veggies with Kim Concra from Cape Cod Cooperative Extension. Kim will guide us through various methods of preserving, from boiling water canning to dehydrating.
We will watch as Kim demonstrates the methods emphasizing the safety aspects of food preservation. There will be an opportunity to be hands-on in the process and you will take home a jar of jam or pickles.
This workshop will be held in West Barnstable at Cape Cod Community College on Saturday, Sept 16th from 9 am to 1 pm. The workshop registration fee includes the cost of materials.
We have a sliding scale fee system. The cost for us to bring you the workshop is $75. If you feel you can help out another person to come you can pay $80. If you can't afford the full cost of the workshop you can pay $60.
Cancellation Policy: If you contact us to cancel your reservation before 10 days before the workshop and we can find someone to take your spot, we will refund your fee. If you contact us to cancel your reservation within 10 days of the workshop the fee is non-refundable.
