Dear Seattle City Leadership,
I am very disappointed with the Mayor’s recent decision to not make it safer for people to bike on 35th Ave NE. This purely political decision also sets a dangerous precedent for safety projects across the city.
Seattle needs leadership that is willing to operationalize our shared principles of safety, equity, mobility, and sustainability, and to stand up for our adopted Vision Zero, Climate Action Plan, and Levy to Move Seattle Goals.
The Move Seattle Levy passed in part because constituents were excited for Seattle to build out connected networks for people to comfortably walk, roll, ride a bike, and take transit throughout the City.
Please implement the will of the voters and connect every neighborhood with safe, comfortable, and convenient bike routes.
